Wedding Photographer St. Paul’s Cathedral

Wedding photography at St Paul’s Cathedral is a great privilege and an honor. And I consider myself to be fortunate to be able to photograph there twice. Portia and Yann are a lovely couple. It was a pleasure to photograph their wedding. It was a great day. Both Portia and Yann got ready at the Grange Hotel nearby.

Although St. Paul’s Cathedral is a stunning venue to get married in, there are strict rules to be followed to be a wedding photographer at St. Paul’s Cathedral. The photographers are not allowed inside the crypt during the ceremony. I could only photograph from the door, till the time the first hymn was sung and after that the doors were closed and I was left out till Portia and Yann were about to sign the register.

After the ceremony, we were to go the the venue by the boat. This was really exciting. Portia and Yann had arranged for lots of balloons to be delivered to St. Paul’s Cathedral and almost everyone was given a balloon. It was so good to see everyone walking to the pier with balloons in their had.  Only thing that was worrying me was the rain. It was supposed to rain for the whole day. But luckily it didn’t rain when we were out taking the photos. It only started raining heavily when I left the reception venue and started walking towards the tube station. It didn’t bother me much. The job was done and I was happy.

Beautiful photos Nitin – looked like an amazing day

[...] met Carys and Davin at Portia and Yann’s St. Paul’s Cathedral wedding last year. We were on the same table during the wedding breakfast. Little that I knew that [...]

It was a beautiful day. Sun made an appearance after a week of rains. It was a small wedding with only close friends and family. Chloe was 8 months pregnant at that time and looked absolutely gorgeous. Tom looked great in his blue suit and pink socks.  The ceremony took place in a beautiful St. Mary’s Church in Langdon Hills. This is the first wedding where I did not get the time to speak to the Vicar. I usually do speak to Vicar beforehand. Its always good to obey what they say. This vicar was very strict. He stopped in the middle of the service to ask me to move back. Ooops!!

The reception took place in a lovely award winning Whitmore Arms pub in Orsett, Essex set in a beautiful location.

Here are some of the pictures from the day that I love.

Wedding Photographer Le Gothique, Wandsworth, London

A selection of Wedding Photographs at Le Gothique, Wandsworth, London by Wedding Photographer Nitin Kapoor – Le Gothique, The Royal Victoria Patriotic Building, John Archer Way, London SW18 3SX.  Tel: +44 02088706567

A very close friend of mine, Abhay, referred me to one of her colleague Anita. He said, she needs a photographer for her engagement. When I spoke to Anita, she said she wanted me for the whole day. I was a bit surprised as engagements don’t usually last that long. But when I met them, they told me that they are actually getting married on that day and they have not told anyone. Only their families knew about it. Anita’s brother was to announce their wedding once all the guests would have come in and then Anita and Simon would have walked in. I was so looking forward to see surprised look on people’s faces. But things do not always go as per plan. People had already started coming in after the traditional Chinese Tea ceremony was over. But it was still great to see people’s expression and the surprised looks on their faces.

It was the most chilled out wedding that I’ve come across. Wedding ceremony was followed by the Tea ceremony and then the guest arrival and barbeque. Wedding took place in Le Gothique which is set within a grade II listed building called The Royal Victoria Patriotic Building. This building has got a great history. Built in 1857, has served  as an orphange, hospital during World War I and detention and interrogation centre of MI5 and MI6 during World War 2.

People were dressed casually. The flowers were done by Groom’s mother. When I arrived everyone in both the families were setting up the tables. The wine bottles were used as flower vases and two of the pictures from the pre wedding shoots were used as bottle labels. No speeches. It was a fantastic day, lovely couple and no rain for a change. Here are some of the pictures I love from the day.

Fantastic photos Nitin – very jealous that you shot at Le Gothique. I’ve always wanted to photograph a wedding there!

I did a pre wedding shoot for Phuong and James just few months ago and time just seemed to have flied. Here I was to photograph a lovely couple on the most amazing day of their lives. Phuong emailed me a day before the wedding and asked me to get an umbrella, the weather forecast was not looking good at all. It was to rain whole day. The weather in July reminded me of monsoon in India. It used to rain all day, every day. Th wedding ceremony took place in Dartmouth House, which is one of the most sought after venues in London for meetings and events. Built in 1750, it is a grade II listed building. We dared the rain and went out to get some formal shots of bride and groom. The reception was at Shanghai Blues – one of the finest Chinese restaurant in the capital. I really enjoyed photographing Phuong and Jame’s wedding.

It was real fun to photograph this little boy, Raphael. He just kept looking at my camera. He is actually posing in most of the pictures and even smiled for one. Here are some of the pictures I love from the day.

Once i heard my sister in law was pregnant, i was over the moon. My 1st ever nephew!
Then the reality set in, what would i get this little baby who already had everything and was not even born!

Nitin, came to his baby shower and then once little Rafael was born to his new home. He did a fantastic job, making them all feel at ease and capturing some beautiful moments.

Thank you once again for making their gift extra special and one he will not grow out of!
