PRE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY WITH PHUONG AND JAMES IN SOUTH BANK

This was one of the best days in past few weeks. It was a clear sky and was not raining for a change. We decided to meet at Tate Modern. I had not been to South Bank for such a long time. Its always a good feeling to walk by the river at the South Bank, when it is not raining. The whole of England is going mental with the rains at the moment. It is supposed to be summer, but I’ve still got my jumper to hand. I don’t know when I’ll need it. A lot of my friends have tried to upload summer manually but everytime they did that, an error message was displayed. Keep trying guys, the software might just upload for few days or weeks.

Phuong and James are a lovely couple and I’m so looking forward to their wedding next month.

What can be more beautiful than photographing a couple in love. I just love my job.  It was a beautiful day, thankfully it did not rain. I’d been looking at my IPhone weather app for the whole week to check for the weather. Apparently, the weather man on tv said it will rain like mad over the weekend. Thankfully it did not happen. Can’t trust these guys anymore.

I reached Bailey’s Hotel in the morning, where Megan and Fraser were staying. It is a beautiful old, renovated Victorian townhall situated in the heart of South Kensington. The smell of freshly brewed coffee and breakfast from the restaurant was so good. I wish I could sit down in the restaurant and enjoy the cofee but just did not have time.

I asked for Megan at the reception, the receptionist told me that no one by that name was staying in the hotel. I panicked. Megan told me long time ago that they would be staying here and I forgot to confirm with them a day before. I gave it another try and told them that the couple were getting married today at old Chelsea Town hall and I was immediately shown the way to the room. Thank God. It was a small wedding with just close family. Wedding at the Chelsea Town Hall and a lunch at Blue Bird restaurant on King’s Road.

Here are some of the pictures I love from the day.

CURRY FOR CHANGE @ CAFE SPICE NAMASTE, LONDON

Millions of people in this world sleep hungry because they don’t have enough to eat. Find your Feet is one charity who is working with the people in the remote parts of Asia and Africa to help them grow food, so that they can feed their families and make enough money to take care of their families. Curry for change is one of their campaign. People can raise money by hosting a curry night at their houses and generating some donations for Find your Feet or by dining at one of the participating restaurants, where the proceeds will go to the charity. Chef Cyrus Todiwala’s Cafe Spice Namaste is one of the restaurants.

I consider myself fortunate enough to be able to photograph this event at Cafe Spice Namaste with Chef Cyrus Todiwala and Nina Wadia. Both of them cooked a menu in aid of Find your Feet’s  Curry for Change, where her cooking skills were put to test under an expert eye of Chef Cyrus.

Nina is an Indian British actress who is currently playing a character called Zainab Khan in EastEnders. She has worked in various comedies and dramas in UK as well as few movies in Bollywood.

It is always a great experience to be at Cafe Spice, whether it is to photograph the food or just to meet Todiwalas. This time I got to meet the junior Todiwala – Jamsheed. He is bachelor in Arts and Design who has created some stunning stuff. Check out his website at http://www.jamsheedtodiwala.com. I got an opportunity to photograph the food in some of his hand crafted wooden platters.

Here are some of the pictures I love from the day.

WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY RIDDING BARN, THEOBALDS PARK, HERTFORDSHIRE: VICTORIA AND TERRI

Ridings Barn, Theobalds Park Wedding Photography

What a day it was. It just rained continuously all through the day. We just had time to do some group shots after the ceremony in The Immaculate Conception & St. Joseph’s Church in the beautiful Hertfordshire. And then it poured and didn’t stop. This is for the second time it has happened to me since the time I’ve been photographing the weddings. But this did not stop the bride and groom to come out with us for the photos. I had a great time despite the weather. The reception took place in the Ridding Barns in Theobalds park, one of the most fantastic wedding venues.  Hertfordshire is beautiful. I love being a wedding photographer in Hertfordshire.

Overall it was a great day. Bride and the Groom looked lovely. Here are some of the pictures from the day.

PREWEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY @ DULWICH PARK, LONDON: PORTIA AND YANN

London weather had been crazy all this while. It had been warm and then cold again and now its been raining for God knows how long. It had been a fantastic day at Dulwich park. Nice and pleasant evening. I had never been to this part of London before, though I had heard of it and I always wanted to come. Portia and Yann are a lovely couple who are getting married in July in St. Paul’s Cathedral. I remember Portia telling me, when I first met her, that she might bring her pet dog along on the pre wedding shoot. I didn’t know it was a Great Dane. She looked ferocious but was such a lovely girl. At one point I was taking a picture from behind the bench where Portia and Yann were sitting and this one, she decided to jump towards me. I ruined that picture. Loved the expression on Yann and Portia’s face though. For those of you who think what happened to me. I’m still alive. She just came to me and sniffed and got a pat on her back from me.

Here are some of the pictures I love from the day.
