It was three days of fun in the beautiful town of Windermere in Lake District. Beautiful place, great people and excellent food. I had a great time and took some photos also.
Laura is a good friend. We have worked together in an extremely busy restaurant in London, where she was the General Manager and I was the Sous Chef. Managers and Chefs are not always enemies, they are sometimes good friends also. We both don’t work in restaurants anymore and don’t miss it also. It was great fun.
Laura and David married in Gossel Ridding in Windermere. Gossel Ridding is probably Lake District’s finest houses built in 1908. Location is great with some breathtaking views of Lake Windermere. Its a very peaceful house, far from the madding crowd yet just minutes away from Bowness On Windermere.
Laura and David organised the wedding so well that it was 3 days of pure indulgence. Pre wedding dinner with Champagne, great food, and piano by lovely Jen Armstrong.
The wedding day started a game of Ruby and Cricket. It just started with 4 gentlemen and by the end of the play I think all of them were on the field and David bowled all of them out. Bravo!! It was a great day. Out of all the weddings that I’ve done, this was the first wedding where Bride’s father thanked me for being there to photograph the wedding. It was such a good gesture, I felt really good. Some great speeches. And speeches followed by fantastic 5 course tasting menu and not to forget some great canapes before dinner. It does not stop here. There was a round of quiz not the normal boring one but very interractive, followed by some bbq pork and then Karaoke. I loved every minute of it.
Here are some of the pictures I love from the day.
