I had a fantastic opportunity to be a Wedding Photographer in Kent. Kent has a nominal border with France halfway through the Channel Tunnel, as well as a defined boundary with Essex in the middle of the Thames Estuary. The county also borders Greater London to the North West. . Kent is a beautiful county and because it has lots of orchards and hop gardens, it is also known as The Garden of England. Kent is situated south east of England within close proximity of Greater London and Essex.
The wedding was in Winters Barns on the outskirts of Canterbury. This was the first Barn wedding that I had photographed. The drive to Kent is not just a drive; it is indeed a journey through paradise. Through the mountains, through the fields, up and down through scenic sprawling meadows. These breathtaking views instilled a certain serenity, hitherto unknown to me and provide that much needed impetus to pursue the passion I harbor inside – photography. Kent is a beautiful county and because it has lots of orchards and hop gardens, it is also known as ‘The Garden of England’. Like always I really like tracing the literary as well as artistic history of a place I am in love with. And honestly, without the fear of being repetitive I affirm that places as sublime as Hertfordshire or Essex do nurture the creative talents of people who live here. Similar is the case with Kent. Kent has provided inspiration for several notable writers and artists. Canterbury’s religious role gave rise to Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales, a key development in the English language. The landscape painter J. M. W. Turner spent part of his childhood in the town of Margate in East Kent, and regularly returned to visit it throughout his life. The East Kent coast inspired many of his works, including some of his most famous seascapes. Therefore without a shadow of doubt, Kent has that art inspiring potential and that I hope shall be reflected in the wedding photography work attached below.
